Phoptographers are a dime a dozen. Everyone has a high priced camera in their pocket anyway, so why bother with hiring one in the first place?
The bother has to do with the person behind the lens. That is where you wil find a unique perspective behind the art that you are comissionning. Do they see things the same way you do? Is the photographer attirbuting the same importance you have towards the subject? Is your experience going to be a pleasant one or will it be some kind of technical procedure?
There are people who know how to take pictures, and then there are photographers. Photographers are more than technicians who know how to operate a camera. They soak in the light of their enviornment and capture the essence of the moment.
I refuse to believe that some people are not "photogenic". Usually this is a self described condition that people say when they don't think someone can take a good picture of them. I say that it is only a matter of comfort. If you do not feel comfortable with the person holding the camera, you will not look comfortable in the picture. If I can't make you laugh, you are going to look like you are having a bad time. If I can make you forget about what we are doing however, you end up with magical moments like these, and then some.
This is what I do, and it would be a pleasure for me to work with you, as I have done with countless others.
